Good.
Scottie’s game at Augusta. He hit it deep and in play, he controlled his irons in a wind storm (how did he do that), he putted damn well. He was just far better than everyone else for these four rounds. Will be highly intereting to see if the same game shows up for the PGA in four quick weeks.
The golf course - incredible, one of a kind. With the current state of pro golf, thoughts of Bob Jones are a comfort and refuge. He was a special human.
Bad.
CBS broadcast coverage was borderline turn off-able. Keeping the audio on mute helped but if you wanted to watch any players other than Tiger and the leader, nope.
Ugly.
J Day’s rain pants fashion and clothing contract generally - the definition of trying too hard Malbon Golf (the vest only worked for the late George Michael, even then not after Wham!)
Trying to watch actual golf competition. WAY too much coverage of players looking, standing, walking, squatting, bending…….we could go on. Imagine coverage of the star soccer or football player standing on the sidelines while the game is being played - that’s about what it was.
Your thoughts?
Well put David. Upon further reflection, the winner of the tournament was the new fleet of drone cams.
On the heels of his OWGR comments someone should've asked Ridley what he thought of the mortgage bond rating agencies in 2007
